The practicability of the paths that lead to and depart from the De Marie al Volano refuge still remains critical to this day, while the flowers bloom on the edges and in the meadows. On the typical road that runs alongside the stream, continuing beyond the crossroads (right Volano, left Paere, Nicol, Colomb) there are still some ice tongues that recommend only climbing on foot. Crampons are not required. The longest unpaved road, known as the firebreak or new, is free of snow up to the stream where the crossing, modified last year so that now you no longer wade, is covered in snow. Towards the Colomb\u00e8 some stretches of snow can be overcome without difficulty; the mule track leading to the Cai Macherio bivouac can be followed up to the Malga del Dosso, then it becomes dangerous because the snow softens in the morning; towards the Mezzamalga pass you have to wait a few more weeks; Pizzo Badile has frozen snow in various sections which makes climbing to the top dangerous. Snowfall this winter was scarce, but the harsh night weather, almost always below zero, delays the complete melting of the ice. The fact remains that we are in April and spring has just begun. In the meadows and at the edge of the paths and mule tracks, however, the strong and hardened mountain flowers color the landscape and cheer the soul.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
